Chamonix & Mont Blanc

 

Discover the pioneer of mountain destinations. Located at the foot of Mont-Blanc (the highest peak in Europe culminating at an altitude of 4810 m), Chamonix is ​​a small mountain town whose heart beats all year round.

Open to tourism since 1770, it is surrounded by the most mythical peaks of the Alps which have made it the cradle of mountaineering and skiing. It also hosted the first Winter Olympics in 1924.

Land of adventures and passions, land of experimentation for the scientific community since the 18th century, its natural environment of which 70% of the spaces are protected make it a unique place in the world, but not at the end of the world!

9:00 AM	Departure from Grenoble (exact location to be determined)
Around 11:00 AM	Arrival at the Oustalet hotel, a cosy hotel with typical Savoyard charm in downtown Chamonix ; Luggage deposit at the hotel (check-in from 3:00 PM)
	Lunch in Chamonix (not included in the package)
3;00-5:00 PM	Guided walking tour of Chamonix in English with a heritage guide
	Free time (swimming pool and sauna- don’t forget your bathing suits if you want to enjoy it at the hotel, shopping ….)
	Dinner (not included in the package)

Sunday June 18th 2023

7:30-8:30 AM	Breakfast
	Check-out (luggage stored at the hotel)
9:00 AM	Meeting at the hotel with your mountain guide and walk to the Aiguille du Midi cable car (at 300 m) – Bring warm clothes et comfortable shoes
9:30 AM	Ascent to the Aiguille du Midi (30 min)
10:00 AM-12:00 PM	Guided visit in English at the top of the Aiguille du Midi
12:30 PM	Lunch at the restaurant 3842 at the top of the Aiguille du Midi (starter, main course, dessert, water and coffee, excluding wine)
2:00 PM	Descent to Chamonix
2:30	Return to the hotel. Luggage collection and departure by bus to Grenoble.
5:00	Return to Grenoble (exact location to be determined)

Important: The excursion to the Aguille du Midi (3842m) is not recommended for people suffering from heart failure or prone to vertigo.

 

Booking conditions:

The minimum number of participants is 9 and the maximum 15.
